2013
Description:
Bayfield County's Risk Reduction Treatment Court (RRTC) and Family Treatment Court (FTC) is a hybrid Adult Drug Court/OWI court serving medium and high risk non-violent male and female offenders with moderate to severe substance use disorder that may also co-occur with a mental illness. RRTC and FTC focuses on adults and a parent or caregiver with a substance use disorder facing criminal charges simultaneously with an open child maltreatment case. FTC is a specialty component operated within the over-arching RRTC. Adult participants of FTC are case managed by an RRTC case manager, while the family receives services through our "Family Specialist" working between the criminal system and child protection workers. Additional support and targeted family services are provided by a lead child protective services social worker.
