Description: 
FDTC is a voluntary program for parents whose children have been removed due to safety issues primarily caused by the parent's drug or alcohol addiction. FDTC clients spend 15-18 months participating in the treatment court, appearing at a minimum of bi-weekly throughout the course of the program. The collaborative team works together to problem solve and support, ensuring the family receives timely support and services. The primary goal is reunification and permanency for the child.

A criminal assessment tool is not used. All the participants are a high risk for drug use and children have been removed from the household due to the drug use.
