Post-charge Diversion and Deferred Prosecution Program

Description: 
Washington County Opioid Diversion Program Washington County operates a pre-trial diversion program for clients with a charge of possession of narcotic drugs(opiates/heroin). The program is part of a Deferred Prosecution Agreement and an average of 12 months. During that time clients work with an individual case manager, engage in AODA treatment, have frequent alcohol and drug testing, and develop a lifestyle supportive of long-term recovery. Successful completion of the program may result in dismissal or reduction of felony charge(s).
