The COVID-19 pandemic has made clear what community corrections should have known all along: court-based and office-based interventions, alone, are often insufficient to help our participants who have multiple and severe treatment needs. We must get out of our comfort zones and learn to use remote technology to extend our reach and enhance our results. This webinar will review research demonstrating improved outcomes from remote technologies that deliver appointment reminders, counseling interventions, peer support, performance feedback, and incentives and sanctions in real time rather than needing to wait days or weeks for office sessions. Examples will be provided of evidence-based and promising technologies that can be employed now to help our clients in these troubled times.
