Research has drawn strong correlations between trauma and substance use disorders, raising the issue of what our treatment courts can do to be trauma-informed. Hosted by NADCP, in this 1.5 hour webinar, Judge Shaun Floerke and Dr. Chris Wilson will set the stage for participants with a brief overview of the impact of trauma on the brain, from both a neuropsychological and evolutionary perspective, and then provide several concrete ways a treatment court team can be trauma informed. The focus of the 90 minutes will be on the practical implementation of the science.
