2027 TAD Grant Application Process

The Department of Justice, Division of Law Enforcement Services (DLES), has received $10,688,900 in Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) grant funds to competitively award for CY2027. Funded programs range from pre- and post-charge diversion at the initial prosecutorial decision-making stage to treatment courts, which serve both persons with pending criminal charges and convictions and persons on probation who are admitted as an alternative to revocation. 

CY2027 TAD Grant Application Timeline:

  • Pre-Application Form Posted: May 5, 2026
  • Pre-Application Form Due Date: July 2, 2026
  • Final Application and Announcement Posted: Early to Mid-September
  • Final Application Due Date: Mid to Late September
  • Grant Award Start Date: January 1, 2027
  • Grant Award End Date: December 31, 2027
