The Outagamie County Mental Health Court (MHC) is a problem-solving court designed to support individuals involved in the criminal justice system who have been diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness, many of whom also have co-occurring disorders. Its goal is to help participants address their mental health needs and improve their quality of life. MHC is built on a partnership between the criminal justice system and the mental health treatment community, with treatment and interventions structured around the authority and involvement of MHC Judge Mark G. Schroeder.
