The road from crippling addiction to REAL recovery doesn’t end during a global pandemic and those traveling that road can’t afford to stall, turn back, or be confused about the way forward. Treatment court professionals can’t be confused either. During the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the route may alter, and detours may be necessary; however, the ultimate destination remains—sustained remission and full recovery. During this crisis, all of us must be clear on how to modify our treatment, recovery support, and clinical case management practices to help people get and stay well. This webinar will outline pandemic-related risks to recovery and offer practice-based expert guidance on how to mitigate those risks and improve participants’ prognosis and capacity to enter or continue in recovery. How the full treatment court team can support recovery goals during this crisis will also be explained.
