Baseline Grant - A total of $10,486,151 is available to support existing Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) programs for calendar year 2026, which will be the fifth year of the present five-year funding cycle. Funded programs range from pre- and post-charge diversion at the initial prosecutorial decision-making stage to treatment courts, including alternatives to revocation, based on local needs and project design factors.

Evaluation Project – A total of $163,849 is available for existing Treatment Alternatives and Diversion (TAD) programs for calendar year 2026 to request funds to complete an external evaluation. Treatment court and diversion programs that have been in operation for 3 or more years and have not previously received TAD funds for an external evaluation may apply under this competitive grant announcement. The number of awards granted will depend on a variety of factors including the number of applications and the projected costs of the proposed external evaluations. The award ceiling for this award has not yet been determined but will be detailed in the grant announcement that will be posted within Egrants on August 27, 2025.
